The dyeing is done meticulously by hand using the “te-natsume” technique. The edges are carefully hand-sewn one by one—without the use of a sewing machine—to create a plump, three-dimensional roll.

is a group led by Takuji Ueda of the Kanze School of Noh. Based in the picturesque Shukugawa area of Hyogo Prefecture, the group carries out various activities to help people of all generations become more familiar with Noh.
“Noh is a performing art that has continued uninterrupted for approximately 650 years. Through this collaboration, we hope to share the charm of ‘Noh,’ which has captivated people’s hearts for so long. We hope that many people will have the opportunity to experience Noh, a traditional Japanese culture,” said Takuji Ueda.
