Kanako Kajihara
Born in Hokkaido, Japan. Graduated from Tama Art University, Faculty of Design, Department of Dyeing and Weaving. (Obtained MA from Royal College of Art.Won the Grand Prix at TEXPRINT 2005, a European competition.After returning to Japan in 2006, he established KAJIHARA DESIGN STUDIO based in Sapporo and Tokyo.
Winner of the Grand Prix at the Premiere Vision Paris PV award in 2013.In 2015, he became an advisor to JETRO for export planning, and in 2017, he became a member of JAPANTEXTILE CONTEST jury president since 2017.Development of materials, product planning, and branding that incorporate new sensibilities into traditional Japanese techniques.Through the development of materials, product planning, and branding that incorporate new sensibilities into traditional Japanese techniques, we propose the rich possibilities of textiles in daily life.
