Embroidery depicts a butterfly attracted to a gerbera flower. The butterfly is embroidered on organdy, cut, and then placed on a handkerchief and secured with embroidery. As a result, the butterfly appears to be floating and fluttering on the handkerchief. The handkerchief is made from a dot-patterned fabric, and is sewn with large scalloped embroidery that makes use of the gerbera stem design.
