It is twinned with a very fine 140-ply Sea Island cotton yarn, which can only be obtained in some areas of the Caribbean Sea. The yarn and weave characteristics give it a unique luster with many reflective surfaces. Because of the long fiber length of the material itself, it has a supple feel and is easy to handle.

The YOSHIDA140 series, a basic line of handkerchiefs made of seashima cotton, is a basic line of handkerchiefs made in Japan by Mr. Yoshida, who weaves the fabric in the Banshu area of Hyogo Prefecture and carefully hand-finishes it with needle and thread in the Hachinohe City area of Aomori Prefecture.
