HIKKOMI Proverb: Catching a sea bream with a shrimp
"Proverbs" are short sayings that have been widely passed down among people since ancient times, containing lessons, practical wisdom, and satire. I designed illustrations based on the stories behind these proverbs.
“Catching a Sea Bream with a Shrimp”: A
small opportunity can lead to great joy.Just as
a small shrimp can lead to an encounter with a large sea bream, small daily actions and acts of kindness can sometimes lead to unexpected joy. This design expresses the delightful encounters that await
just beyond a casual step. I’ve depicted the shrimp on the fishing line and the sea bream gazing at it with delicate embroidery.
