The design theme for the 5th CLASSICS the Small Luxury Design Award 2025 is “Harmony”. Out of 1,445 entries from 43 countries, one Grand Prize winner and one Second Grand Prize winner have been commercialized.

The shapes of various animals are painted white, and at first glance it may seem unclear what kind of animals they are, but the shapes look familiar. With an exquisite balance, it expresses the state of "harmony" that transcends the world and individual differences. Even if I tried to draw the same theme, it was a piece that shines with a sense of expression that I would never be able to achieve.

In addition, the way the space is perceived, whether it is the ground or the water surface, is drawn diagonally, and the way the blank space is left is excellent. I was also impressed by the fact that although the entire building was painted white, there was only one animal with a cute expression on it.

Cute and with a big theme. The balance between ``concrete'' and ``abstract'' that balances both of these aspects was evaluated as the best of all, and was selected for the Grand Prix.

When expressing "harmony" in the small space of a handkerchief, I wanted to convey not only visual beauty, but also the tranquil harmony in which nature and life resonate. Therefore, I tried to create a poetic screen using soft brush strokes. The clouds floating in the sky hint at the outline of the animal, and the sight of a running puppy in the background cleverly blurs the line between reality and imagination.

When a handkerchief is gently unfolded or sways in the wind, the shifting clouds may remind you of the ephemeral scenery of the real sky. The message is that harmony is not a static state, but a dynamic equilibrium, and something that should be nurtured with care.

I hope that those who use this handkerchief will feel a sense of quiet peace and rediscover the gentle and secret resonance that exists between nature and life in their daily lives.

To express "harmony" within the compact dimensions of a handkerchief, I believe it should convey both visual comfort and my personal interpretation of harmony: a serene coexistence of nature and life. Thus, in my creation, I sought to craft a poetic scene through soft brushstrokes—clouds in the sky subtly outline the silhouettes of animals, while a running puppy in the foreground blurs the boundary between reality and imagination.  

When the handkerchief gently unfolded or flutters in the breeze, the shifting clouds might evoke the fleeting beauty of a real sky, reminding us that harmony is not a static state but a dynamic balance that requires cherishing and nurturing.  

I hope those who wear or use this handkerchief will find a sense of tranquil solace in it and rediscover the tender, hidden connections between nature and life in their everyday moments.
