The artist drew inspiration from exploring Ningyocho to create these designs. Since they’re slightly larger than usual, you can wrap them around things or use them in a variety of ways.

Exhibition of Original Artworks by Photo Collage Artist Chihirobo Has Begun
We are currently featuring handkerchiefs by photo collage artist Chihirobo.
We’re showcasing the original artwork for one of them, “Shitamachi Lattice.”

Location: Nihonbashi Ningyocho Store
This piece is the original artwork behind the handkerchief “Shitamachi Lattice,” which the artist created based on inspiration gained while exploring the streets of Ningyocho.
Using photographs as source material, the artist has reconstructed the atmosphere, scents, and culture experienced in that place, much like a puzzle.
With a unique texture distinct from both photography and painting, the work expresses memories of travel and the genuine, moving experiences felt in those moments.
The handkerchiefs designed by Chihirobo are exclusive to the Nihonbashi Ningyocho Store.

■ Chihirobo Profile
After graduating from the Department of Fine Arts at Tokyo Gakugei University, he began working as a photographer.
Since 2010, he has been creating a series of collage works under the theme “dreamlike reality”
She has also created a wide range of collaborative works with brands such as GUCCI and Häagen-Dazs
