Starting Tuesday, August 25, four new types of collaboration handkerchiefs commemorating the 35th anniversary of “Puyo Puyo” will go on sale.

From designs featuring motifs like Puyo, Carbuncle, and Suketodara to retro pieces that recreate pixel art with embroidery, a total of four designs that capture the world of *Puyo Puyo* on handkerchiefs are now available. 

 

This marks our brand’s first collaboration with *Puyo Puyo*. We’re releasing a total of four designs, including one featuring watercolor-style illustrations by artist Natsu Yamaguchi, created exclusively to commemorate the game’s 35th anniversary, as well as handkerchiefs that use embroidery to recreate the iconic pixel art and text from the game’s screens.We’ve incorporated the unique techniques and playful spirit of a specialty handkerchief shop to bring the world of *Puyo Puyo* to life in these designs.

Puyo Puyo Collaboration Handkerchief: Designed by Natsu Yamaguchi 

This handkerchief features a design by illustrator Natsu Yamaguchi, created exclusively for this 35th anniversary. The five “Puyo” colors—green, blue, red, purple, and yellow—are rendered in soft, airy watercolors alongside fashion items.

Puyo Puyo Collaboration Handkerchief HIKKOMI Puyo Puyo 

A “Puyo Puyo” collaboration design has arrived from CLASSICS the Small Luxury’s iconic “HIKKOMI (HIKKOMI)” series! The “Puyos” and “Carbuncles” from the game are shown holding hands and pulling on the edges of the handkerchief.The pixel art illustration is meticulously rendered through embroidery, creating a unique handkerchief that’s sure to bring a smile to your face.

Puyo Puyo Collaboration Handkerchief: Ojamapuyo Komon 

Using the “Ojama Puyo” from the game, we’ve designed this as part of CLASSICS the Small Luxury’s classic Komon series. As its name suggests, “Ojama Puyo” gets in the way of clearing Puyos in the game.We’ve depicted a scene that evokes the feeling of being on the brink of “Game Over.” In the upper right corner, there’s even an icon foreshadowing more Puyos about to fall. We’ve added a border design inspired by the five colors of “Puyo” to capture the world of Puyo Puyo. The pixel art will bring back nostalgic memories for those who played the game back in the day—it’s a piece that makes you want to share stories with others.

Puyo Puyo Collaboration Handkerchief: Puyo Tsu Embroidery  

“Puyo” and “Ojama Puyo” are arranged along the border, with the addition of memorable text elements from the game. Inspired by the Puyo Puyo game screen, this design is sure to bring back memories of playing the game back in the day. With all the pixel art rendered entirely in embroidery, this luxurious finish makes it a truly special piece unique to this collaboration.
