1879 (12th year of Meiji)

Establishment of Nakanishi Gihei Shoten (now Blooming Nakanishi)

Gihei Nakanishi I opened a Western goods dealer of European and American goods at 7 Thatchiya-cho, Nihonbashi-ku (current location).

Products include handkerchiefs, gloves, and umbrellas,He could be said to have been a pioneer of the civilization's opening to the outside world, and attracted a lot of attention at the time.

1937 (Showa 12)

Held an exhibition of antique collections.

Executive Director Nakanishi (the third president Nakanishi) made business trips to Europe and the United States,He collected handkerchiefs from various countries. After returning to Japan, over 3,000 items from his collection were presented in exhibitions in Ginza and Osaka.

The foundation of the Company's antique collection is established.

1940 (Showa 15)

Establishes the Chinese Linen Factory in Shantou

After a visit to Shantou in 1942Ltd. was established jointly by the Company and Teikoku Textile. Ltd. was established, a dronework and handkerchief processing plant was constructed, and products were exported to the U.S.A. In addition, an embroidery cooperative was formed in Shantou with Dong Cotton, Mitsui & Co.

2003 (Heisei 15)

Classics the Small Luxury" opened in Roppongi Hills.

The first store opened as a handkerchief specialty store.Hundreds of handkerchiefs and,The store attracts attention for its hundreds of handkerchiefs and the ability to custom-order embroidered initials in a wide variety of thread colors and fonts.

2005-2008

Launched the "Thank You" series.

Thank you for everything. Thank you for everything.When you feel shy to say "Thank you" directly, or when you feel like saying "Thank you" to someone...,or when you want to express your gratitude in a humorous way, or when you want to leave your gratitude in a form. This series is designed to say "Thank you" in such a way.

2006

「HIKKOMIBirth of the "Thank you" series

"Does it have to be square?" A designer's comment.It is not a big change in shape,It is not a big change in shape, but it is a small breaking of the rule that the edges are retracted.We have always insisted on keeping it square and straight.The "Trial and Error" process, which involved a lot of trial and error on the part of the sewers and embroiderers, resulted in a product that is now called "T-shirts".HIKKOMI（series" was created through a process of trial and error by the sewers and embroiderers.

2014

Started the Yoshida series

of yarn-dyed handkerchiefs as an authentic and correct handkerchief.Yoshida Seriesas a legitimate and correct handkerchief.This series is named after the designer's name,The design is based on how one warp thread and one weft thread are combined and the weaving structure is combined.The simplicity of this high-quality handkerchief conveys the careful craftsmanship and attention to detail.

2018

Started collaboration with Noh "Gashoen".

A series of costumes designed based on the valuable Noh costumes of the Shukugawa Noh Stage "Gashoen", a Noh performance group.We hope that many people will be able to experience the performing arts, which have continued uninterrupted for approximately 650 years, through the handkerchief item. This is our wish.

2019 - 2021

The third handkerchief "Hemp" and "mico

The third handkerchief is made by weaving like a woven fabric,It is easy to care for and does not require ironing like a towel. It is thinner than a towel, less bulky, and can be slipped into a pocket.This is an idea that comes from our long history of making handkerchiefs,This series symbolizes the company's ongoing challenge to create new products.
