第5回目となるCLASSICS the Small Luxury Design Award 2025 のデザインテーマは「Harmony」。43ヶ国、1,445作品のご応募の中から、この度グランプリ1作品、準グランプリ1作品を製品化しました。

【審査員講評】

さまざまな動物たちの形が白く塗られ、一見すると何の動物かはっきりしないようでいて、どこかで見覚えのあるフォルム。世界や個々の違いを超えた“調和”のあり方を、絶妙なバランスで表現しています。同じテーマを描こうとしても、なかなかこの表現にはたどり着けないセンスの光る一枚でした。

また、地面なのか水面なのか、空間のとらえ方も斜めに描かれており、余白の残し方も秀逸です。全体が白く塗られている中で、唯一、愛らしい表情が描かれた動物が一匹いるという点も、強く印象に残りました。

可愛らしさと、大きなテーマ性。その両方を両立させた「具象」と「抽象」のバランスが、今回の中でも最も優れていると評価し、グランプリに選出しました。

【作者よりコメント】

ハンカチという小さな空間に「調和」を表現するにあたり、私は視覚的な美しさだけでなく、自然と生命が共鳴する静謐な調和の在り方を伝えたいと考えました。そこで柔らかな筆致で詩的な画面を構築しようと試みました。空に浮かぶ雲が動物の輪郭をほのめかし、近景で駆ける子犬の姿が現実と想像の境界を巧みに曖昧にしています。

ハンカチがそっと広げられたり、風に揺れたりするとき、雲の移ろいが本物の空の儚い風景を連想させるかもしれません。調和とは静止した状態ではなく、動的な均衡であり、大切に育まれるべきものだというメッセージを込めました。

このハンカチを使う方々が、そこから静かな安らぎを感じ取り、日常の中で自然と生命の間に存在する優しく秘やかな共鳴を再発見してくださればと願っています。

To express "harmony" within the compact dimensions of a handkerchief, I believe it should convey both visual comfort and my personal interpretation of harmony: a serene coexistence of nature and life. Thus, in my creation, I sought to craft a poetic scene through soft brushstrokes—clouds in the sky subtly outline the silhouettes of animals, while a running puppy in the foreground blurs the boundary between reality and imagination.  

When the handkerchief is gently unfolded or flutters in the breeze, the shifting clouds might evoke the fleeting beauty of a real sky, reminding us that harmony is not a static state but a dynamic balance that requires cherishing and nurturing.  

I hope those who wear or use this handkerchief will find a sense of tranquil solace in it and rediscover the tender, hidden connections between nature and life in their everyday moments.
